DJ Groovematic on explaining what made hip-hop powerful in its beginnings:
"It was so organic and so authentic. And it was, it was fresh and brand new. And it was created by youth. So you know, it was that kind of a rebellious culture because there was no interference from parents, adults, the music industry, the city, the state."
