Alexandra Nickson is an Emmy-winning music executive and educator with over 20 years of experience in film and television music. She currently serves as Senior Vice President of Television Music at DreamWorks Animation, where she leads music strategy, composer relationships, licensing, and creative direction across a broad slate of series and pre-school features.

She earned a Kids & Family Emmy Award for her work on Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight and received an Emmy nomination for Orion and the Dark, reflecting her impact on music-driven storytelling at the highest level of the industry.

Over the course of her career, Nickson has held music executive roles at MGM Pictures, Amblin Entertainment, The Walt Disney Company, and Freeform, bringing deep experience across studio systems, television networks, and feature film production.

In addition to her executive work, she is a respected educator and thought leader in music supervision. Nickson teaches at the University of Southern California, mentors emerging creatives, and is a voting member of the Recording Academy. ​
