EMI Publishing layoffs begin after Sony/ATV acquisition - report

Seven senior EMI Music Publishing executives left the company at the close of the Sony/ATV deal including Roger Faxon - who remains at the head of EMI Music as regulators scrutinise a proposed merger with Universal.

Billboard sources report that layoffs began in Los Angeles and Nashville and continue in New York this week with 30-40 people at EMI losing their jobs.

Names reportedly include head of EMI Music Publishing's Nashville operation Ben Vaughn and SVP of creative Jake Ottmann. ...
